Ron Gaunt is a founding partner and Principal Architect of Gaunt-Zimmer Design.Mr.
Gaunt has a Bachelor of Architecture and has been involved in the field of architecture for over
20 years. His strengths are his abilities to facilitate interactions and solutions between the Architect, the Builder, and the Agency / Owner, as well as coordination of Design and Construction Documentation.
He is a talented and experienced designer in the field of residential,
commercial, and health care architecture. He has excellent communication skills, and brings a calm demeanor
into every project with which he is involved. Ron has over 18 years of experience with project management in the Truckee-Tahoe and Reno areas. He has worked with many agencies during his time here and understands how to negotiate the maze of local regulations and protocols.
Ron has worked successfully on commercial projects with several pillars of the local community, including: the Town of Truckee; Truckee Donner Public Utility District;
the Truckee Tahoe Airport District; Tahoe Donner Community Association; the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District; and Tahoe Forest Hospital District.

Ron has architectural focus which ensures the design is environmentally sensitive, financially feasible and constructible.
Environmental sensitivity is addressed through the incorporation of green
technologies, to the greatest extent possible allowed by program and budget.
Financial feasibility is addressed through attention to program, budget,
schedules and agency requirements. Constructability is addressed
through detailing and communication with the builder.
Ron's focus is the successful completion of projects. He helps to
bring this success about through the purposeful application of
communication, leadership and technical knowledge.
